Metallica Through the Never Debut's at Comic-Con 2013

Via L.A. Times :
Metallica made its first appearance at Comic-Con International Friday night to premiere the new theatrical trailer for the band’s performance film/dark genre fable “Metallica Through the Never,” directed by Nimrod Antal (“Kontroll,” “Predators”) and featuring actor Dane DeHaan in a near-silent role as a roadie Trip.
The band took to the Hall H stage to greet fans, answer questions and debut some new footage from the movie, before playing an intimate concert at San Diego’s Spreckels Theatre.
Earlier in the day, James Hetfield, Kirk Hammett, Lars Ulrich and Robert Trujillo sat down with Hero Complex to share their thoughts about attending Comic-Con for the first time.
“I’ve been a comic book fan since I was five or six years old,” Hammett said. “So this is my tribe.”
“I thought this was a film convention,” quipped Ulrich before turning more serious. “It’s great, the energy here is so positive. … There’s no 65-year-old pseudo-intellectual music critic sitting around smoking cigarettes belittling us.”

“Metallica Through the Never” opens in IMAX 3D Sept. 27, with an expansion planned for the following week.
