Admin Rainbow here with a announcement for all you Halloween lovers! To celebrate the coming of Halloween, instead of doing a traditional Christmas Advent calendar, A Halloween one is coming out for this blog! You'll be seeing posts on survival horror/horror themed games, creepypasta based on games and creepy stuff in video games. Game Of The Week - Scribblenauts

With Scribblenauts Unmasked recently out and the current ongoing deviantART contest about it, I thought it would be appropriate to feature Scribblenauts for this week's Game Of The Week.

Write Anything. Solve Everything.
A action-puzzle game franchise that spans across the Nintendo DS, 3DS, Wii U and iOS devices, Scribblenauts puts you in control of the boy Maxwell and his magical notebook, which can be used to summon, well, just about anything. Using this ability, you must summon things to solve puzzles in the environment around Maxwell. Not only do you have everything at your disposal, but Super Scribblenauts (and following games) allows you to add adjectives to summoned objects, (ex. Giant Flying Firebreathing Pug) and Scribblenauts Unmasked added one time game-exclusive gimmick, which allows you to summon over 2,000 DC characters. Can you solve everything with anything?

The official Scribblenauts website can be found here.

Game Of The Week: Super Monkey Ball

Starting in the arcades simply titled as Monkey Ball, then making it's way to the Gamecube and Wii, the Super Monkey Ball franchise takes a classic concept- rolling a marble through a maze- and develops on that concept. In each stage, you must roll a monkey in a ball through a maze- via tilting the maze- to get it to the goal at the end. However, there are many gimmicks and devices to throw you right off the track- conveyor belts, spinning tops, rotating and flipping floors to name a few. And you're only given 1 minute to get to the goal. Can you master this challenging set of physic puzzlers?

Official site for the game can be found here. (currently featuring SMB: Banana Splitz)

Five Cool Wind Waker Glitches, Easter Eggs and Beta Content

With Wind Waker HD coming in 4 days in the Lim. Edition Deluxe Set, digital download and on Oct. 4th in a Speical Editon Gold Pack(and it being Admin's Rainbow first Zelda game), I wanted to do a short feature of ten glitches, hacks, and Easter eggs/beta content of the original Wind Waker that are either cool, funny, interesting or a combination of the three, in no particular order.

  1. Beta Content: Testing/Beta Rooms
Leftover in the code of the original Wind Waker are 55+ unused rooms- some testing, others beta. They cannot be acessed in the main game, but they can be accessed by hacking ingame/ROM hacking. Here are some videos of some of the test rooms.

2. Easter Egg: Majora's Masks
Once the Figurine Gallery is unlocked in Forest Haven, going to the front desk, using the Pictobox and looking at the left wall behind the desk will reveal 4 masks from Majora's Mask: The Keaton Mask, the Goron Mask, The All-Night Mask, and the Bunny Ears.
(picture and information is from www.eeggs.com)

3. Glitch: Sliding Moblin
Not much to say here, I just find this glitch extremely funny.

4. Glitch: Pick up a Moblin + Enter Hyrule Field
A glitch that is exploitable (can be triggered) that utilizes the delay between a frozen Moblin shattering and it returning to a enemy. This allows Link to carry (read: slide around with) a Moblin. Same glitch allows (a slightly buggy) Hyrule Field to be accessed when done outside Hyrule Castle.

5. Beta Content: E3 2002 Title
Originally, Wind Waker's title screen was a remixed version of the A Link To The Past title screen. This was changed in the final version to a original track with traditional insturments.

Well, that wraps up this little list from Admin Rainbow. If you wish to preorder the HD version of the game, head over here
and select 'Preorder'. Have a happy Rainy Season!

Game Of The Week: Minecraft

Admin Rainbow is back, and with a Game Of The Week! (which is moving to Sundays)
Minecraft is a sandbox/adventure game focused on building in Creative mode and survival in Survival mode.  However, due to the versatility of the code for mods and content being constantly added to the main game, there is more then just surviving and building- explore huge worlds with your friends, duke it out in a custom-made map, defeat monsters which want to remove your buttocks from your pelvic, and much more!
